The Year 2 Starter Program features 4 videos from Preschool Prodigies Chapter 5. Chapter 5 is all about the popular note combination of Mi Sol & La.

Video One: Melodies #8 The first video, Melodies #8, is a fun singing and hand-signing video. Students will review notes on the Solfege scale, and warm up their hands and voices by singing and hand-signing along. At the beginning of each Prodigies lesson, there is a suggested activator or warm up video to get students engaged. This week, it’s Melodies #9, featuring musical steps.

Video Two: It’s Raining, It’s Pouring The second video, It’s Raining, It’s Pouring, is this week’s core lesson. Students use the popular trio Mi, Sol and La to sing, sign or play along with this famous song.

Video Three: It’s Raining, It’s Pouring Performance Track After each core lesson, students play along with a performance track that features more standard sheet music and the opportunity for arranging multiple instruments. Today students play along with the performance track, “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring”.

Video Four: Rain Dance The last video is a fun sing along called Rain Dance. In this video, students sing with Mi, Sol & La and practice using the hand-signs. This is a great way to apply what they’ve learned in today’s lesson.
